Go Global: Making It Happen
Come-and-go event to learn about funding for study abroad and alternative opportunities to go abroad. Representatives from four fellowship programs will give presentations on the hour; previous recipients of the fellowships will participate in a panel discussion; and the ISO will give a presentation to help you understand your own financial aid and the resources available to you for study abroad.
Gilman Scholarship Information Session
The Gilman Scholarship Program awards up to $5,000 for students to intern or study abroad, and there is up to $3,000 in supplemental funding for students studying a critical need language. Must be eligible for a Pell Grant or be the dependent child of an active-duty military member to apply.
Beinecke Scholarship Information Session
The Beinecke Scholarship provides funding for research master's and doctoral degrees in the arts, humanities, and social sciences (neuroscience excluded). Come even if you are not sure about graduate school at this time. Apply as a third year.

Spring Break - No Session
Awards for STEM Students
There are just as many fellowships specifically for STEM students. This session will explore some of them, as well as equip students in STEM fields to properly discern fit for other fellowships.
Getting Started in Undergraduate Research
We will equip students with some effective approaches to cultivate agency in research & creative pursuits and to seek out opportunities for involvement. This session is appropriate for students at all levels and a great place to ask questions. Students do not need to be actively participating in research & creative inquiry to benefit from this session.
Asia Awards (Ex. Luce, Schwarzman, & Yenching Academy)
These fellowships offer fully-funded experiences in Asia for study or job placement. Come learn what they are, what it takes, and how the University of Virginia can support you. Interested but not sure if you are qualified, come find out for sure.
UK Awards (Ex. Churchill, Ertegun, Gates, Marshall, Mitchell, & Rhodes)
A number of excellent graduate school opportunities in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Come learn what they are, what it takes, and how the we can support you. Interested but not sure if you are qualified, come find out for sure. Third years are strongly encouraged to come and start early.
